Tam Tri Gals show their strength at "Escape"

Tam Cycling beauties, Kim Ford and Carolyn Hutchins, blew out the rock at "Escape from Alcatraz" this weekend in San Francisco. The triathlon, in it 25th year, includes a 1.5 mile swim from "the Rock", a hilly 18 mile bike ride along Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park, and a 8 mile run along the water.

Kim Ford got 3rd of 62 in her age group, just minutes behind the leaders with an overall time of 2:28:20. Her swim, bike and run time were: 34:41, 59:50, and 1:05:16.

Carolyn, recovering from a debilitating back injury, won her age group division against 37 other women with an overall time os 2:50:00. Her splits were: 43:22, 1:00:23 and 1:06:24.

Both of their bike legs were competitive with the top pro women triathletes!

Honorable mention also goes to Tom Guerin who took 14th of 68 in his age group for his first race of the season! Tom's swim leg was one of the fastest at 32:58. His bike and run splits were 59:32 and 1:05:41. Great job Tom.
